Who am I?

My name is Vanessa Jae Paradis and I had worked with Joe for about seven months just before he passed away. He was building an online community of practice at that time and I just happened to "stumble upon" his website and became very interested in his research process, the critical complex bricolage. We had many wonderful conversations on his website as well as email conversations. He always so patiently answered my questions as I was learning the bricolage process to apply for my dissertation research. I was thrilled when I had the opportunity to meet him in person, to share and laugh about our human foibles, and to exchange hugs. And I was broken-hearted when he passed away. Since I had written my research pre-proposal, I determined to continue with the research applying his process, which took me on a long, winding path in multiple directions and dimensions. I discovered, and my research demonstrates, it was no accident whatsoever that I came across Joe and his work when I did. As he so often states in his work, reality is stranger than fiction. I finished writing my dissertation, and I continue to research critical bricolage with his loving guidance.
