Did Joe Lyons Kincheloe Discover the Golden Chalice for Knowledge
Production?: The Application of Critical Complex Epistemology and The Multidimensional Critical Complex Bricolage
by Vanessa J. Paradis
Learn how to do the most powerful research on the planet! Joe Kincheloe, the late world-renowned educational critical theorist
and philosopher, had it all figured out and this dissertation spells out how to engage in this powerful, knowledge-producing
bricolage research. The embedded theories such as enactivism, chaos, and complexity result in the research almost taking on
a life of its own that can lead to what Joe refers to as critical symbiotic relationships and mutually-enhancing actions
actions that can change the world. Did Joe discover the Golden Chalice? You will
just have to read it to find out!
If I can do this research (which I did), so can
you!
Joe wanted knowledge to be accessible, available to everyone, especially the poor and disadvantaged
who have the cards stacked against them. We have all heard Foucault's contention that "Knowledge is Power." Indeed,
it is! It is why FREE and OPEN ACCESS to real knowledge and research is so critical today. It is also why less real knowledge
is accessible by the general public. In honor of Joe's wishes, I am offering the dissertation completely free for those who
are interested in this cutting-edge form of bricolage research. It is great for learning and once you get the hang of it,
for everyday problem-solving. His process takes us away from reductionistic and mechanistic forms of research and toward embracing
a holism and diversity that propels creativity to the highest levels possible, thus, making it applicable in many domains
of education, work, and our everyday lives.
After engaging in this research for the past four years, I can attest to its power to produce knowledge. You will just
have to read my dissertation to see for yourself. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. But, warning! (as Joe always provided):
Reading my dissertation may cause you to see life in a whole new way! And hopefully it will lead to the long-needed changes
required to make this world a better place for us all. That was Joe's dream and why he worked so hard developing his critical
complex theories. His dream is my dream.

This website (below) demonstrates Norman
Denzin's concept of "Performance Texts" and "MyStories," an
unleashed creative process which is an essential component of the multidimensional
critical complex bricolage. The dissertation exemplifies why this is so important and how researchers can develop creativity
that contributes to more rigorous knowledge production. We are moving rapidly toward the N.E.W. Critical Pedagogy. Don't get

Joe wanted knowledge to be accessible, available to everyone, especially the poor and disadvantaged who have the cards
stacked against them. We have all heard Foucault's contention that "Knowledge is Power." Indeed, it is! It is why
FREE and OPEN ACCESS to real knowledge and research is so critical today. It is also why less real knowledge is accessible
by the general public. In honor of Joe's wishes, I am offering the dissertation completely free for those who are interested
in this cutting-edge form of bricolage research. It is great for learning and once you get the hang of it, for everyday problem-solving.
His process takes us away from reductionistic and mechanistic forms of research and toward embracing a holism and diversity
that propels creativity to the highest levels possible, thus, making it applicable in many domains of education, work, and
our everyday lives.
After engaging
in this research for the past four years, I can attest to its power to produce knowledge. You will just have to read my dissertation
to see for yourself. The proof is in the pudding, as they say. But, warning! (as Joe always provided): Reading my dissertation may

January 22, 2013. Today it is official:
Joe’s Perpetual Revolution begins. It does not require wars, blades, guns or weapons. It is a love and peace revolution.

A Rockin’ NEW YEAR! It’s a GREAT Year, so find your Divine Path quickly! You
may be the next winner of the Golden Chalice Award!
And we don’t care what Dwight D. Eisenhower said in 1962! We
are BACK with the Peppermint
Twist!
I cannot possibly overstate how profound Joe’s theory is. Saying that Joe was a genius is a gross understatement
is the only way I know how to frame it. He believed we are all geniuses, and with that I agree. But his level of genius is
something most of us can only struggle toward, hoping sometime in the future with a lot of hard work we can attain it. This
will only be realized in its greater profundity by applying his conceptualization of bricolage rigorously as he
has asked us to do and experiencing the results.
God willing, my dissertation will be published by the end of
winter quarter, before we roll into 2013 (the ending is just the beginning). I am just going through
the motions of the final approvals and edits. Want to useJoe'sbricolage?
Have questions? Contact: Vanessa Paradis, (PhD Candidate). I am happy to help anyone who wants to get started using Joe's
powerful research process. It blows traditional research methods out of the water and it's not hard to get it through
the university gates at all. (key words, tricky phrases, and an impenetrable "Joe theory" is all it takes).
His work is truly a gift to the world. I sure do wish he would have taken life a little easier though. :(
In memory of Joe: "Take life easy."
Special Note: This song has a special history and it’s
actually a very happy song in relation to that history. The melody has come up many times throughout my blogs over the past
four years, as handed down to me from the higher realms, and I was guided to the lyrics which had been lost over the years
until Yeats brought them back. The lyrics speak to a particular era and specific incident in a past life which I have
remembered. Thus, I love the song very much. I will write about it in a forthcoming book. UPDATE: I
was informed from the Higher Realms that there are two more verses to this song that match the memories I've had. They will
be given to me....the poem was a Sacred Vow which had been turned into a song as a special anniversary gift.
Irish song arranged by Benjamin Britten. Nicolai Gedda is accompanied by Gerald
Moore
Down by the Salley Gardens, my love and I did meet.
She
crossed the Salley Gardens with little snow-white feet.
She bid me take love easy, as the leaves
grow on the tree,
But I being young and foolish, with her did not agree.
In a field by the river, my love
and I did stand
And on my leaning shoulder, she laid her snow-white hand.
She
bid me take life easy, as the grass grows on the weirs
But I was young and foolish, and now am
full of tears.

P.S. I will just mention Joe
had said that bricolage is “messy.” Therefore, pardon the website – it is the messy part of bricolage and
is simply documentation of the early part of the process. I have no resources to fix it right now and maybe it’s good
that I don’t so that people can see how much work it entails (and this is not even the tip of the iceberg).
Information
will be posted here that may be helpful for parties interested in my forthcoming dissertation about Joe's Bricolage. This
will be updated regularly, so check back soon. (You may need to refresh your browser to see most recent post.)

Joe is known for music. He discussed music throughout his work. He often communicated through
music and he has embedded lyrics in his writing and correspondence. This is a song he gave me in one of our communications,
which is a great message for everyone.
The Pleiadian
Agenda? This is for all of the “critical" educators and students out
there: Perform a critical discourse analysis on this interview, including the music at the end. Use Joe’s critical complex
epistemology and evolving critical pedagogy, and be sure to incorporate many perspectives in your analysis. You will be graded. No need to turn it in to your teacher; you are never alone.
There is no turning back what we do now will effect us in the
future.
June 5, 2012 The Council for New Earth Education has requested that I post
the following message for today:
Due to the fact that my dissertation
has to be condensed, while I will touch on some of the following questions listed below, many cannot be answered in my dissertation at
this time. The Council will continue to guide me and I will be answering some of these questions over the next few years or
so, beginning immediately. I will be starting with the basic, introductory material and then move up the ladder of complexity.
There are many more questions which are not listed here; this is but a start of what’s up ahead soon.
And remember: Our Perception of Reality is how we INTERPRET OUR EXPERIENCES.
This is exactly why no two people perceive the same reality (even if they pretend that they do). We can, however, learn much
by the active exploration of various perspectives with the understanding that none of them are the “one true reality.”
Understanding this is the ticket to freedom and, paradoxically, can bring us closer to truth.
Why has no one found the Golden
Chalice? (Or has someone found it?)
Why did Joe discuss the 911
Trade Tower Attack?
What are Joe's "Treasure
Hunts" and how do they help teach research skills? What are Joe's “Epistemological Road Trips”
and how do they help our research?
What are Easter Eggs and why
did Joe use them? How do they relate to philosophy?
Did Einstein really discover
the Theory of Unity, and has it been hidden all of these years? What does Joe say in his work about this?
What did Joe mean when he said that we are multidimensional beings?
Are Joe and I really Twin Flames who have had many lifetimes together
(and thus, have always worked together in higher dimensions or “behind the curtain”?) Did he dedicate his Bricolage
Book and Red Book to me?
What is the value of remembering
past lives and soul connections?
Was Peter McLaren Joe’s
brother in another lifetime and does that mean Peter was my husband in that lifetime?
Was I Mary Queen of Scotts, per my recollection in one of my past lives, and does that mean
that Joe was King Francois II in that particular historical era?
What is the biggest problem with education today and how might it be remedied? Did Joe find
the solution?
Why was Ralph Waldo Emerson
called “the crazy poet”? Why do the “dinosaur professors" (Joe's term in his interview) want to
ban Emerson's work from the college curriculum? Why do they ban Einstein's work?
Who is my Spirit Guide, La-ni-tah-weh? (He was a very famous Native American teacher on a
reservation, but I have not yet identified him).
Can Joe’s critical bricolage
solve Sam Cooke’s murder case? Can it be used to solve other crimes?
Is critical pedagogy "a sham"? (See the book, Critical Pedagogy: Where Are
We Now, McLaren & Kincheloe, 2007). How does Joe’s version of Critical Pedagogy change the equation for critical
pedagogy?
These are just a FEW of
the questions I will be providing MULTIPLE PERSPECTIVES for -- More questions to come . . . check back soon. When the
links "go live" you can click on them and learn.
My dissertation is going to have to be condensed
to get through the university gates. This should not surprise me in the least, but it is highly disappointing nevertheless.
Don’t worry, I will make the ENTIRE dissertation and much more available. The problem with watering it down is that
I will need to provide some background information so that people can read between the lines. I will post here just as soon
as that “background information” becomes available. It will be introductory information as well as text that
I pull out of the dissertation to shorten and condense it, but which is needed to understand the research, especially if you
have no experience using Joe’s critical bricolage. But believe me, taking the time to learn how to do it is well worth
the effort and it's a lot of fun! Joe really knew how to make learning fun and intense.
In the meantime,
it has suddenly come to my awareness that Joe Kincheloe, whose theoretical work forms the entire foundation of my research,
lived and died serving this Bible verse (the verse was just magically handed down to me on the Internet in the course of my
research yesterday as I seldom read the Bible):
Ephesians 5:11
“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them."
It's amazing how one
little quote that was almost magically handed down to me captures the essence of Joe's work. Joe was all about exposing
thanatos (death instinct) and replacing it with eros (love and life). So for those of you who are fed up with
the dark, evil forces in your life, which I hope is just about everyone at this point in history and want to replace them
with love-based actions in your teaching and in your lives - then the critical bricolage is for you. I have
already learned much about how Joe exposed the “unfruitful works of darkness,” but it’s not even the
tip of the iceberg. He really worked the magic of words in everything he wrote, in almost every single word. He is beyond
a genius! I truly hope that by my own work in which I demonstrate some techniques (and there are many more waiting for you
to discover and invent), that more people will become intrigued with his work and become powerful bricoleurs.
That's it for today! We are Rockin’ and Rollin’
along the Great Path! (Check back soon) ~ ~ ~
“If
we are unaware of how our experiences and situations
shape our knowledges and insights, we will undoubtedly be oblivious to the ways that dominant power insidiously works its

The Politics
of Knowledge: "If wishes were pigs, it would be harder to keep kosher.
In the same twisted way, advocates of a critical complex epistemology cannot just wish the producers of validated knowledge
would simply change their ways and open new ways of thinking about how we see and report on the diverse phenomena surrounding
us. There are too many power interests invested in those ways of seeing and validating information." (Kincheloe, Knowledge and Critical Pedagogy: An Introduction,
p. 67) [6+7=13, my luckiest number!]
Thank you, Amanda, for addressing this critical issue! Having worked
in schools as a teacher aide, as well as having four children who attended public schools I am shocked by the extent
of teacher bullying. Teacher bullying is due in part because of the way the system is designed, but teachers do have choices!
Bullying happens in multiple ways, from labeling children, to gossiping about them, to treating them according to invented
labels, to humiliating them in front of their classmates, calling them names, and on and on. It’s sad if it takes
technology to change teachers’ behavior, but thankfully it can make a difference, even if it can't change their hearts.
As Amanda points out in this video, teachers are role models for students! If they don’t set a good example, then how
can we expect children to change their behavior? I was totally humiliated and bullied by teachers as a child, and it’s
not something that’s ever forgotten. On the other hand, the teachers who respect and love their students also are
never forgotten. Which kind of teacher do you want to be? In order to stop bullying in schools we need to address
the source of the problem – the psychologically debilitating system of controlling, tracking, and labeling -- and the
teachers who subject students to the forms of dehumanizing abuse that emanate from supporting the system. There
are better ways!
Special Note (4-15-12): The introduction below was originally posted May, 2009 when this bricolage research
project first launched. It had been moved to the side bar as a download titled "Disclaimer," where it is also still
available. The research for this dissertation project has been completed. Free content will continue to be added to
this website that demonstrates Kincheloe's critical complex bricolage for a variety of purposes based on the research
conducted. To understand the project, one needs to begin at the beginning blog and follow the path and/or wait until
the dissertation is published this fall. And we must remember: Joe warned us that the world is stranger than any of us can
possibly imagine. In his last book, Knowledge and Critical Pedagogy: An Introduction, he also states, "A
critical complex epistemology, critical ontology, and critical pedagogy are pattern-constructing dynamics that ultimately
change who we are. Unless you are committed to resisting any authentic connection with the new experiences criticality produces,
you will return from this encounter with new patterns, processes and contexts as a different being" (p. 252). He
was right!!!!
LOVE is
the only true answer! Joe worked so hard to get us all to see that.
In my book, Joe is Eros, the God of LOVE and he wins the Golden Chalice
Award.
Introduction and welcome
to this web site
This site serves dual purposes. The first and primary purpose is to serve as a resource for
Joe Kincheloe’s brilliant work. Eventually the page dedicated to him, “About Joe Kincheloe,” will list and
describe all of the work he has left us, and thus serve as an extensive resource one can come back to when seeking specific
information about any of the numerous topics he has researched and written about. Secondly, this site represents a creative
interpretation of his postformal and bricolage theories, thus, no claim is made that any particular idiosyncratic interpretation
is specifically one that Joe Kincheloe would endorse, although neither is it proclaimed that he would not endorse any of the work or authors and artists represented on this site. In reality, his philosophical
and theoretical formulations give people a green light to exercise their "creative imaginations." The articles, artworks, videos, music, blogs, and other resources outside of Joe’s specific
works presented on his special page, are merely some very creative ways and examples of how his work can be applied or have
been applied in order to provoke out-of-the-box thinking that can lead toward transformation, higher levels of cognitive awareness,
and new ways of being in the world – or what Joe has described as “new mind spaces.”
Thus, the spirit of his work is represented, which allows
total freedom of expression so that people have control over their own destinies and they are not constrained by socially
constructed expectations, barriers, chains, and shackles. It is, in other words, the essence of freedom. As such, the creative
expressions are not presented as reality and are not intended to be forced upon other people who possess their own realities,
but are merely presented as possibilities for new and different ways of seeing and interpreting that can shed light on greater
and deeper understandings. Perhaps even, on occasion, fairy tales are presented that appear to come true – imaginative
realities that have been created in the process of applying the powerful techniques Joe has presented in his work –
the techniques of the bricolage and individualistic postformal thinking and creating. There are treasures and magic that
evolve when applying the powerful juxtaposition of contrasting and imaginative perspectives. The consequence can be an
amazing hyperawareness that alerts us to what already exists subliminally, or below the threshold of "normal" perception;
new revelations then suddenly come to our immediate awareness and thus become perceived as powerful and magical. Joe speaks
often in his work of his great pleasure in what he referred to as “postformal treasure hunts.” The experience
can truly be joyful, exciting, and exhilarating.
If people are able to open their consciousness just a bit they will gain a greater appreciation
for our human abilities to create and construct our own realities and consciousness; thus, we have the abiity to reclaim our
power, taking it back from those outside ourselves who attempt to force us to work and learn in ways that are not in our best
interests but rather in the interest of maintaining some constructed status quo that only serves those who hold power. While
many of us are able to reclaim our power easily, with pleasure and enjoyment and without fear, for some of us (and all of
us, at times) it is more difficult and we need to work at it; for others it requires an existential shock which the critical
bricolage and its postformal expression can bring about, and for still others it becomes an impossibility and thus they stay
locked and embroiled within the true insanity of the world that is falling apart around them – a world that critical
pedagogy has clearly identified and described, but as yet has not resolved in the form of concrete action sufficient to make
a dent in the changes that are needed. This work Joe embarked on to take postformalism and the bricoalge into the world for
application in order to make the world a better place and alleviate human suffering – this mission -- must continue
in spite of and even because of all of these factors just mentioned. The goal of this site is to facilitate moving education
– which is comprised of each and every person since we are all teachers and learners -- forward to places we have never
been before. So please take heed of the caution sign and if you are in the latter group of people who do not wish to change,
with all due respect, you best close out of this web site as the information you find here may be disturbing to you. The rest
of us are rejoicing for the GIFT Joe has left for us and the promise for transformation and hope his work provides. As
Joe clearly spelled out, “Postformalism does not simply inform the quality of our thinking, it changes who we are. Caution:
filling is hot” (p. 133). Yes, it is hot, Joe – very hot. And you ain’t seen nothin’ yet, Baby!
With Eternal and Radical Love,
We have established another
website with additional information: Joe Lyons Kincheloe.
Something to Contemplate (4-11-12):Joe
stated the following in his Red Book: "Thus, a critical complex epistemology infused by radical love, enactivism, critical
ontology and subjugated knowledges contributes to the emergence of a new world" (p. 180).
Question of the week (4-2-12):What did Joe mean by Critical
Complex Epistemology? (See his Red Book)
Question of the week (3-25-12):Why did Joe insist that
there is nothing more important than love, an “eros”
love, as a “counterpoise” to thanatos? What did he mean when he wrote or spoke of “radical love?”
Question
of the week (3-11-12): What is the real reason Joe used so much music in his Red Book?
UPDATE: It will soon
be time to announce the Golden Chalice, The Epistemological Elixir, The Philosopher’s Stone,
and The Rose Bowl Awards! What are these for? They will be awarded for the best uses of Joe’s critical theory,
bricolage, and epistemological pedagogy. Be sure to submit your entries to your favorite educational journals soon. No need to notify us; we will find them. Feel
free to skip the peer reviews since we are rapidly approaching the cutoff date for submissions, and those reviews are not
always helpful. You do have some time yet, however. We will announce the date soon right here!
Also, please note that, sadly, we already have
winners for the Black Rose BlackRaspberry Award, so we don’t need any more entries for this award.
Otherwise, we are going to have to contact our awards manufacturer to produce some more, and we don't really want to have
to do that.
Use
Joe’s work as he had intended: With EROS/LOVE as the driving force and you will be certain to receive at the very
least a Rose Bowl award. (For more information about the awards, see below). As guidance to what you are aiming for, Joe had
stated, "The critical complex task in question -- as it alerts us to the social construction of the world with dominant
power playing a central role in such productions -- makes no claim to a magical epistemological elixir that channels us the
truth. . . ." What he is more interested in is knowledge production that is not as far "off the mark" as FIDURODian-constructed
education knowledge has been (p. 43 of K&CP). These awards are being offered for fun, enlightenment, and
entertainment purposes.
THE MORMON BUTTERFLY In the meantime, here is a puzzle to tickle your fancy. The best and most complete answer will win an all expenses paid trip
to “who knows where?”
Where and why did Joe discuss the Mormon Butterfly? What are at least 11 possible interpretations for
his discussion pertaining to these majestic butterflies? Be sure to include a consideration of the multidimensional aspects
of his discussion and use a variety of interpretive tools. Submit this assignment to your teacher for grading.

Summary
of the Meetings with the Cosmic High Council
(Saturday, February 18 through Tuesday, February 21, 2012)
Dear People of the World and Loving Friends of Joe L. Kincheloe,
After much respectable and loving deliberation, discussion, dialogue, discourse, and debate (followed by celebratory dancing
and music), WE, the members of the Cosmic High Council, in concert with “We the People” have determined certain
actions are required in order to ensure that Cosmic Master Joe Lyons Kincheloe’s work is disseminated and utilized in
a manner that recognizes his true genius, his dedication and devotion to all the peoples of the world, particularly the poor,
and all things loving, good, and honorable.
These actions are being taken to ensure that Joe Lyons Kincheloe’s
theory is disseminated in ways that can be used by everyone in order to achieve freedom, equality, justice, peace,
love, wisdom, and the alleviation of all human suffering.
We have noted that Joe Kincheloe’s work is being widely reproduced as well as widely cited in the research
and literature today, and we believe this, for the most part, is very good. We are pleased to see people using his theory
and moving forward in their learning, teaching, living and loving. However, we have duly noted that a few earthlings attempt
to take ownership of his work while simultaneously degrading, misappropriating, and changing up his work to that which it
is not, that which it is not to be, and that which it was never meant to be. This is a dishonor to him.
Thus, the Cosmic High Council has collectively,
unanimously, and unilaterally agreed that we wish to encourage the honest, good efforts of those who have the proclivity to
cite Joe Lyons Kincheloe’s work and use his “power of the bricolage” for the betterment of humanity.
Our decision, thusly, is to implement a rating scale. Now, of course we do not like rating scales; they are not always fair
to those who are learning. Please be assured that this rating scale is not to penalize those who are making an honest effort
to understand and use Joe Kincheloe’s multidimensional critical theories.
We will remind researchers that in order to properly use his bricolage and his theoretical
work, it is important to read his work. We have posted free downloads of his seminal articles about the bricolage on this
website: Joe Lyons Kincheloe. Before undertaking his complex bricolage, we highly recommend reading and understanding these articles as well as his book
with Kathleen Berry, Rigor and Complexity in Educational Research: Conceptualizing the Bricolage. And there is more:
It is essential to also read his last and most important updates to his theory contained within Knowledge and Critical
Pedagogy: An Introduction. For the greatest benefit we recommend that this book be read from cover-to-cover. It is not
a difficult book to read and a mere introduction, but it will provide a much stronger philosophical and theoretical base for
your research.
These are minimum requirements
before embarking on the form of bricolage Joe Kincheloe has developed. More exact details will be forthcoming to help people
along who are serious about applying his theory and taking their work to the next level. [Note: As members of the Cosmic
High Council, we DO NOT earn revenue off the sales of his books. The revenue would go to his beloved family. We have no use
for "revenue" in the High Realms.]
Thusly,
we have developed, as mentioned, A RATING SCALE. Obviously, we do not believe in quantitative ratings of the work people do;
therefore, the RATING SCALE is qualitative – and highly subjective, we might add. However, please note that the AWARDS
associated with this rating scale are our way of saying THANK YOU for your hard work! Keep up the GREAT WORK!
We will remind people that everyone who uses
Joe Kincheloe’s theory with LOVE in their hearts will always receive the highest possible ratings. LOVE and EROS are
most important, as he reiterates in his work and it is WITH LOVE that WE, the Cosmic High Council bring you these RATINGS
or perhaps we shall give them a title.
Let’s
Call it a LOVE RATING SCALE
Here
are the ratings we have developed so far (and of course, these ratings apply in conjunction with the application of Joe
Kincheloe’s complex theories):
The
Golden Chalice Award: Exemplary & Imaginative
Red Rose Award: Exhibits Passion
Pink Rose Award: Exhibits Love
Yellow Rose Award: Demonstrates Wisdom
White Rose Award: Incorporates Divinity
Orange Rose Award: Contributes to Change
We have two negative awards:
Black Rose Award: Thanocentric
Black Raspberry Award: "In Your Face!"
We may be adding to these awards and changing them up a bit, clarifying them as we put them into practice. You know how it
goes: "Praxis, Praxis, Praxis" (Kincheloe, 2008, p. 67). And because these awards will be subjectively
given, you can always argue for a different rating if you don’t like what the Cosmic High Council votes for your work.
We are open for loving debate and discussion 24/7 so feel free to call on any of the Cosmic High Council
Members at any time. No appointment is needed.
We
will note that each project we review may actually receive multiple awards, depending on the aspects that are included therein
or what we take out of context.
The
best award one can earn is, of course, The Golden Chalice Award,
as shown above. The worst possible award one can get is the combined Black Rose Black Raspberry Award shown at the left. The advice from the Cosmic High Council: Don’t Go There! We do apologize for
using the color black for this award, because in reality, black is one of our favorite and most powerful colors, but we have
to make a special point with this award due to the Thanatos leanings noted in some works out there. So if you like black,
don’t take it personally, and understand that this award, as with the other awards, is given with LOVE.
Our final message for the day is to take the
RIGHT PATH, hold love close to your heart, and SEEK THE GREAT WORK and you will be assured of receiving many wonderful
Awards all along the path! We the High Cosmic Council, the Angels and other High Councils have set aside many personal and
divine gifts for each and every one of you! Blessed be ALL!
In Divinity & Love & Jocularity, The High Cosmic Council
In attendance:
The High Priestess Psyche and her consort, High Priest Eros
The Great Master Hermes Trismegistus
Goddess Isis and her consort,
Osiris
Albert Einstein and his consort
Ralph Waldo Emerson and his consort
Sam Cooke and his consort
Queen Cleopatra and her consort, Mark Antony
Jesus and his consort, Mary Magdalene (the REAL Jesus and Mary Magdalene)
[Some of the consorts choose
to remain anonymous at this time.]
UPDATE (2-22-2012). The Cosmic
High Council has decided to set the record straight about Hermes Trismegistus and his relationship with Aphrodite. First,
he is, in fact, the father of Eros, Aphrodite being the mother to whom he was never married. What the stories have not
conveyed is that Aphrodite had deceived him into believing she was the Goddess Venus in order to have an illicit affair. This
lie has carried down through history, but truth has now been released just today. Aphrodite (which means Praxis, by the way),
is NOT the Goddess Venus and never has been. The High Council deemed it necessary to reveal truth. As was concluded in the
High Council Meeting today, “Truth must surface, new stories written for the 21st Century, and they cannot be created
based on a foundation of lies.” This is important information for the true one and only Goddess Venus, who is walking
on Earth today during this important era in history. She will reveal herself when she deems it proper to do so. This, and
much more, will all be covered in greater detail in the forthcoming books about the gods and goddesses of the 21st Century, as
have been noted on this web page, below.
In loving memory of Joe Lyons Kincheloe
(December 14, 1950 - December
19, 2008)
Joe's
educational work provides inspiration and practical guidance for teachers all over the globe and describes a beautiful, beautiful
mission to alleviate human suffering. He has left us a map with multiple pathways for accomplishing that mission -- an authentic,
rigorous, impassioned, creative, and even magical education for everyone who dares to venture on untrodden paths. His work
serves as a guiding light for educational journeys that can change not only how we view and enact the educational process,
but that can also truly change us as teachers, students, and researchers -- and empower us to change the world. Joe loved research, teaching, writing, making music, and his students. And his students loved him.
“A critical pedagogy that constructs knowledge and formulates action based on eros
with its drive to alleviate human suffering serves as a counterpoise to the empire’s positivistic thanatos.”(Kincheloe - Knowledge and Critical Pedagogy: An Introduction, p. 100).
Eros and
Psyche Forever! (Thank you, Jung!)
“The years have woven our love stronger and stronger!”
“Power without love is reckless and abusive, and love without
power is sentimental and anemic. Power at its best is love implementing the demands of justice, and justice at its best is
power correcting everything that stands against love.” ― Martin
Luther King Jr.

In which book and on what page did Joe mention this 1958 movie? What did Joe say was
going to come to “insectman’s” rescue? Joe was so “fly” (click on the link to see what that means). I LOVE all of the "fun stuff"
Joe put in his books! This was one of my favorite movies "back when."

Joe was a true scholar and Master
Teacher. The following site is dedicated to articles that convey how Joe exemplified this through his
mentorship and research: http://www.joelyonskincheloe.info/
ANNOUNCEMENT: Coming Soon!
A NEW Website Dedicated Souly to Maintaining Joe’s
Legacy! Will be announced soon.
We have found that the scholarly literature pertaining to Joe’s work is getting muddied. We love Joe and
we want to keep his Golden Legacy pristine, so we are developing a NEW website with the soul purpose of providing clarity
about his work. We will provide a complete list of all of his work written prior to his passing in 2008.
We will also provide critical COMPLEX epistemological analyses (using Joe’s theory, of course)
of ALL of the new works published in Joe’s name after his passing (2009 and later) that come to our attention. Our primary
interest is to make it clear as to which words are Joe’s precious words and which original articles they came from.
We may even use supplementary empirical analyses if necessary – Joe did not throw the empirical baby out with the positivistic
bathwater, by any stretch of the imagination -- as he said so himself.
We will also present the same material on this website, where we will be posting many additional
new materials over the summer, including curricular ideas and images to use as you wish -- always FREE, of course.
Watch for the announcement right here soon -- along with our forthcoming article: “No Fair! They Didn’t Teach US How to Copy & Paste In Our Research Classes!”~ posted June 5, 2011
This just in from Zeus (6-10-11): Just like in the story about EROS (Cupid) and PSYCHE, it looks like PSYCHE has some grain to sort before she can be with EROS, thanks to Aphrodite (see below for more information
about the forthcoming book, Eros and Psyche: A Walk Midst Earthlings
in the Twenty-First Century).
This just in from Eros (6-17-2011): “There will be no grain sorting! Psyche and I have updated this story for the twenty-first century and --sealed it with a kiss -- whereby we will continue on our merry journey
without Aphrodite (even if Aphrodite does happen to be my mother). The ants in the obsolete story can sort the grain
and complete the other inane tasks Aphrodite sets out, if they so wish. Psyche and I have the full support of the Great God
Zeus (my grandfather) for this decision and he has already blessed Psyche with Goddess status. Psyche is awake now, and
knows that to stay on the good path she need only follow the “bread crumbs” I and Hermes Trismegistus, the Great Messenger God leave along the trail for her. Btw, Hermes is my real
father. As this story continues my beloved Psyche is holding my hand and we travel the path of bliss together, on the last
leg of the journey -- the home stretch -- and it’s too late to turn back now!”
Signed, Sealed, and Delivered
~ Eros, the God of Love
P.S. I would like to thank my dear mother, Aphrodite, for
the wonderful idea of giving ROSES as gifts, especially Red Roses representing LOVE. Those really won Psyche over -- along with my dad's idea of hiding the
silver yin yang talisman in the yard for her and delivering an exquisite diamond wedding ring set right to her front door -- as
sacred symbols of our divine love and matrimony. And you would not believe what a changed person grandfather is! Ah,
the POWER of LOVE!
Read the complete story in the forthcoming book, Eros
and Psyche: A Walk Midst Earthlings in the Twenty-First Century due out in 2012.
What has come over me What madness taken hold of my heart To
run away, the only answer Pulling me away To fall into the sight
The source of my recovery Sweet
shadow taking hold of the light Another day has been devoured Calling me away, leaving a question why
For
saving me from all they've taken Letting my armor fall again Give me the strength to face them Feeling it taking
over now,
I'm about to take it all away There can be no better way of knowing
CHORUS: In a
world beyond controlling Are you going to deny the savior In front of your eyes Stare into the night Power
beyond containing Are you going to remain a slave for The rest of your life Give into the night
This
self discovery Redemption taking hold of my mind A serenade of haunting voices Calling me away To feast
upon the night The source of my felicity Dark maiden taking hold of my hand Lead me away from hibernation Strong and unafraid Never a question why
For saving me from all they've taken Letting my horror fall
again Give me the strength to face them Feeling it taking over now,
I'm about to take it all away There be no better way of knowing
In a world beyond controlling Are you going to deny the savior In
front of your eyes Stare into the night Power beyond containing Are you going to remain a slave for The
rest of your life Give into the night Give in to the night
In a world beyond controlling Are you
going to deny the savior In front of your eyes Stare into the night Power beyond containing Are you going
to remain a slave for The rest of your life

Sōferia's
Sandbox. Sōferia, here, the Pleiadian alienated scholar from Planet Eros. I know peoples probably
wonder what in the world I am doing here and what I am trying to accomplish on this website with my "crazy" blogs
(below). Well, you see, like everybody else (whether they remember or not) I am on Earth Planet to learn. This is my sandbox
play. After I came across Joe’s GREAT WORK I decided I want to try out ALL of his tools in every way
imaginable right here in this sandbox. After meeting Joe and knowing him (and, yes, loving him), and studying
his work in great detail, I believe I have his permission to explore his powerful tools and methods for all kinds of purposes
and share them with all the peoples of the world, so that’s exactly what I’m doing. If he were here today, I can
imagine he would be right here in the sandbox playing along beside me!!!!
One thing I
will point out is that I will be taking all of my learning here to the NEXT LEVEL very soon. It takes time, so be patient!
Joe’s work is SO ADVANCED I am still racing to catch up with him!!!!

This is a nonprofit educational web site dedicated to exploring multiple ways
of creatively interpreting and applying Kincheloe’s advanced conceptualization of the critical bricolage and his critical
complex epistemology. We are committed to providing FREE instructional materials and images based on our explorations for
others to use as provided on those pages of our web site (see menu). The explorations here involve embracing multiple ontologies,
epistemologies, fictive approaches, social constructions, methodologies, philosophies, positionalities, perspectives, pedagogies,
genres, etc. Please read the detailed disclaimer which has been posted since this site launched and is now available in the
side bar as a download, for a more in-depth discussion.
We have no connection with Kincheloe’s estate or with the way other
people wish to interpret his work. We will not support using his work for maintaining the status quo or for quelling freedom
of expression, as there is ample evidence in his writing that he would not have supported those activities.

The gift of fantasy meant more to me than my talent
or absorbing positive knowledge.
If we knew what it was we were doing, it would not be called research, would it?
The greatest scientists are always artists as
well. Teaching
should be such that what is offered is a valuable gift and not as hard duty.
Human beings can attain a worthy and harmonious life only if
they are able to rid themselves, within the limits of human nature, of the striving for the wish fulfillment of material
kinds. The goal is to raise the spiritual values of society.
From Gadamer’s Truth and Method:
“The Power of Love”
Catch
only what you’ve thrown yourself, all is
mere skill and little gain;
but when you’re suddenly
the catcher of a ball
thrown by an
eternal partner
with accurate and measured swing
towards
you, to your center, in an arch
from the great bridgebuilding of God:
why catching then becomes a power—
not yours, a world’s.

Animals - We Gotta Get Out Of This Place Joe left this song in his book, Knowledge and
Critical Pedagogy: An Introduction. Can you find it? What exactly was he talking about?

I was led to ANOTHER song in Joe’s social studies book, Getting

Skynrd on page 666? Why is it significant? Can you find the secret messages to some special people Joe knew? (They ain’t
so secret anymore.) Clue One.Clue Two.
